Walk Humbly

The message this week, will help our students to understand that walking with God means following the journey of life beside him. It means we know how to connect with him and communicate with him. Through that process, we get a glimpse of who God is, giving us a whole new perspective on ourselves – a humbling one.

Next Steps . . .

As you go through this week with your student(s), look for instances to create some dialogue based on the theme of this lesson. Consider discussing the following questions or concepts:

Read: Proverbs 3:5-6; John 8:12; 2 Chronicles 7:14
Ask: When have you been worried or confused about the future?
Ask: Have you ever been blindfolded? How do you walk differently when you can’t see what’s in front of you?
Ask: If Jesus is the light that helps us see, how should that change the way we walk through daily life?
Ask: How does pride keep us from following God’s lead in our lives?
Apply It: Write down one change you can make this week to become more humble. How would that act of humility help you walk closer to God?
