Dear Schweitzer Friends,

As Good Friday and Easter is upon us, do plan on joining us for worship this weekend. There are two Good Friday Worship experiences in the Outreach Center, 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. We will journey through the final hours of Jesus’ life and crucifixion.

Traditional worship will be led by the chancel choir, brass, and bells at 8:20 and 11:00. Modern Worship in the sanctuary at 9:40 and in the Outreach Center at 11:00 will be led by our Praise Team and will also feature a video from Schweitzer’s Creative. Our Church @ the Center gathering is at 5:00 p.m. The Easter message in all our services will share the Risen Jesus related in the Gospel of John 20:19-29. Who are friends and family you can invite to worship with you?

If you are new to Schweitzer, and have questions about Jesus, the church, or would like to know how to get better connected, join me, April 23, at 12:00 noon in Memorial Hall. We will feed you great bbq, offer you a tour of the campus and get you headed home by 1:30. Childcare is available. To sign up, email Pastor Jim Mason, jmason@sumc.co.

Women’s Bible Study

Women have a new evening opportunity for friendship and study. “The Armor of God” by Priscilla Shirer will be the subject on Tuesday nights at 6:00 beginning April 18 in room 106. Contact is Sarah Asperger, seasperger2@gmail.com.

YOUNG ADULTS: Travel between the houses of Pastors Bob, Jim, and Jason for a progressive dinner with Schweitzer young adults in their 20’s and 30’s. We will meet at the church, Friday, April 28, at 6:00 p.m. to carpool, and the night will end with a bonfire on Jason’s land. Email youngadults@sumc.co with the subject, “Progressive Dinner” with questions or to sign up. The deadline to sign up is April 18.

Grow to Know Preschool will be having a garage sale on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. Proceeds will go towards construction of a new preschool classroom, with the remainder going towards a new gym floor. Drop off times for donations will be Saturday, Sunday and Monday (April 22–24) from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 noon. Please bring donations to the north gym doors. Volunteers are needed. Please call the GTK Office at 881-6800 x216.

Easter Blessings

What an incredible love that God has given us through the sacrifice of His Son!  What an enduring hope we have through the resurrected Jesus!  I wish you a glorious Easter as you celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead!
