Dear Friend,

During this Advent Season, I am reading a chapter each day from Isaiah. These words spoke to me in a fresh new way this morning :  “Some will say, ‘I belong to the Lord’…still others will write on their hand, ‘The Lord’s…'”  Isaiah 44:5.  I then felt compelled to simply write on my own hand “the Lord’s.”  This childlike response has reminded me throughout today who has claim on my life.

We continue with the Advent and Christmas message series Here Among Us this Sunday, focusing on scriptures from Isaiah 42 & 43 as we look at the God who Redeems. Our worship in music and song is particularly uplifting this time of year so we look forward to another special Sunday.

If you are new to Schweitzer and have questions about Jesus, the church, or would like to know how to get better connected, join me this Sunday, December 10, at 12:00 noon in Memorial Hall. We will feed you great bbq, offer you a tour of the campus and get you headed home by 1:30. Childcare is available.
