“One of the most frequently mentioned figures in history, whose writings are read by millions every day, is little known to this generation as a person. The name of Saint Paul the Apostle is familiar to all Christians, to most Jews and Muslims; he is quoted, argued about, attacked, and defended. Yet even those who read his words and adventures with unfailing regularity have scant idea of what he was like…”
These words by author John Pollock state well my personal motivation in offering this new message series PAUL: THE ROAD AHEAD to the church. Whether you are a student of the Bible or just getting started in biblical knowledge, I believe these messages will help the Apostle Paul’s life and message come alive to us as a church. As we trace Paul’s visits to places such as Antioch, Ephesus, Corinth and Athens, we will be able to make the correlation between what happened then to current events and present day realities. It all begins this Sunday with the message, PAUL: THE ROAD TO DAMASCUS. Feel free to poke your head into Acts 9 in preparation for the teaching.
