Dear Schweitzer Friends,
It’s summer time! I look forward to a little bit slower and restful rhythm as the summer humidity has hit Springfield. I encourage you to stay in rhythm with God in your daily life. The Daily Text is a great resource with which to begin your day http://sumc.co/news/daily-text/. Another way to stay in sync with God is through Sunday worship. This week’s message from the series LITTLE BOOKS WITH A BIG PUNCH checks out what the prophet Malachi has to say to us. Looking forward to seeing you in worship this Father’s Day Sunday!
Youth Missions Trip
Members of our youth group are in Memphis this week volunteering with an organization called Service Over Self (SOS). They are staying at Union Avenue Baptist Church for the week, and working in the Orange Mound community of Memphis. You can get check out the great things that our students and leaders are doing on the Mission Trip Facebook Album and on the Schweitzer Vimeo page. New pictures and a daily video will be added each evening. Pray that God blesses their mission work all week long and that their service to the community is a light for Jesus.

Check out where you may wish to serve and register your child, grandchild, or consider what kid do you know who would be up for an awesome time, July 10-13, at Schweitzer?
