I hope you are enjoying and being challenged as I am with the message series “JESUS Went.” We come this week to one of the most important messages of the series as we witness how JESUS deals with shame. I encourage you to read John 8:1-11 in advance of coming to worship this Sunday.

Here are more ways to worship, grow, serve and tell others about your faith and live as a disciple of Jesus at Schweitzer:

When you’ve found Schweitzer is the place where you can live out your discipleship, come participate in our membership class. This one-session class will let you explore more deeply our core beliefs, values, and membership covenant. Take the next step and join us in Memorial Hall, noon-1:30, this Sunday. Food and childcare is provided. To sign up or for more information, contact Pastor Jim Mason, jmason@sumc.co.

Grow to Know Preschool is partnering with the preschools at Campbell UMC and Wesley UMC to host a 5K, 10K and mile fun run on Saturday, April 15. The races begin at 8:00 AM at Campbell UMC. The money raised will be split between the three preschools with GTK’s portion being used to save for a new gym floor. Register for the race at actnowracing.com.

Do you have the gift of hospitality and enjoy helping people feel welcome? Are you looking for an opportunity to serve? Consider serving in our NEW Connection Center once a month on Sunday mornings. You’ll have the opportunity to welcome new guests, answer questions, and assist anyone needing directions, a new book, etc. Check the box or email Erinn Johnson, ejohnson@sumc.co.

LETS will meet Thursday, April 6, at 11:30 a.m. in Memorial Hall. Program: Missionary Journey of Paul. Lunch is $8.00. Please RSVP to Deanna, 861-8636.
