As I write this on a Wednesday afternoon, the sun is shining and it’s 60 degrees! So, why am I not outside? There are some things I want you to know about coming up at Schweitzer during the next few weeks!

Schweitzer’s Kids and Youth Ministries want to invite any child, Birth–12th grade, to come hang out on Wednesday nights at Schweitzer. Starting at 6:00pm, a free dinner will be provided in the Kids and Youth areas and everyone will have a blast growing in their faith walk, hanging out with their friends, playing games, and worshiping our Savior!

Do you currently play Pickleball, or would you like to learn? This oddly named game is a combination of badminton, ping-pong, and tennis, and is currently the fastest growing sport in America. Come out and play, or just watch the fun on Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m., from January 9-February 13, in the Schweitzer Gym! Equipment is provided.
If you weren’t able to venture out to worship in the midst of the ice storm last Sunday, I invite you to go to sumc.co/messages for the first message in the series dead ends. This Sunday we’ll look at the struggle is real in dealing with anger as we address: What do we do about the culture’s anger, our personal anger and righteous anger? Take a peak at Ephesians 4: 25-32 in preparing for worship.
I am rooting for some sunlight for Sunday morning! Regardless, I hope to see you at Schweitzer this Sunday.
