Night Light.

Read John 8:12 and Psalm 27:1-2.

Stumbling around in the dark is a common scene when we have to get up in the middle of the night. We trip over clothes, knock into drawers, stub our toe on the door until we finally reach the light switch. How many times in our lives have we stumbled through dark seasons, looking for the light? We turn to other things, people, and ideas to fix our bad times. We become dependent on other things rather than God. God says in John that He is the world’s light. When the world is in darkness, or when we ourselves are in darkness, God is there to provide plenty of light in which to live. You do not have to stumble and live in fear when God is with you. Darkness is cast out and God illuminates our lives. Then, and only then, is there no room for darkness to settle.
