Joy In God’s Coming.
Read Psalm 16:7-11.
Today’s verses from Psalm 16 were quoted in St. Peter’s first sermon which he gave after the pouring out of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost. Why did Peter select these passages? Perhaps, because David’s words best describe the joy that God’s care gives us as well as prophesying the coming of Christ and his resurrection. As I read the verses in the Psalm and again in Acts 25, I am reminded that God will not abandon me. During the hustle of this holiday season, I will strive each day to keep my eyes, thoughts and actions upon Him. As I re-evaluate and pray about my daily choices, I will try to understand God’s plan for the rest of my life and do my best to follow it. How about you? Enjoy Christmas living in His Presence.
