Read Daniel 6:23.

23The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

It is easy to get wrapped up in the concerns of this earthly life. Not enough money at the end of the week, illness, mental fatigue, moral decay around us and other concerns plague our thoughts. As a follower of Christ, your future is secure. No matter how tough things are around you, you can have hope eternal that you’re being loved, taken care of and one day will rest with Jesus in Heaven. Consider this prayer from the Ortha nan Gaidheal:
I weave a silence onto my lips. I weave a silence into my mind.
I weave a silence within my heart. I close my ears to distractions.
I close my eyes to attractions. I close my mind to temptations.
Calm me, oh Lord, as you stilled the storm. Still me, oh Lord, keep me from harm.
Let all tumult within me cease. Enfold me, Lord, in your peace.

1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. 2My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
