Receiving and Giving Something More.

Read Ephesians 2:10.

10For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Faith creates a longing for something more than the world can offer. When we are filled with faith, we are a conduit to bring that something more into the world. While faith is difficult to define in words, it is faith’s activity that tells us the most about it. It is only as we look at what faith does that we can truly understand what faith is. In loving someone else with the same kind of unconditional love that we have received from God, we are blessed by that love. In doing something for someone else, motivated not by what we will get out of it, but by what God, through us, can put into it, we are blessed and encouraged. Today, can you let your longing for something more turn into the kind of faith that creates something more for someone else? What act of faith will you do?

22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
