Joy In Giving.

Read Exodus 35:21-22.

We all appreciate gifts given out of unselfish love. A gift given without a sense of duty is always highly valued. Motive of giving is something that has always mattered to us. It also matters to God. Paul encourages us to give freely and cheerfully. Are we giving to receive, or giving cheerfully? Paul explains that there are two ways that Christians should not give- reluctantly and sadly. Joy comes as we recognize the abundant gifts that God has given to us and as we participate in blessing others. Sharing those gifts from God with others is a way to show God’s love. Whether we are giving our time, energy, or resources, may we do so with an abundant joy because God called us to serve unselfishly and happily.
