Tempus Fugit (Time is Fleeting) – Carpe Diem (Seize the Day).
Read Luke 12:16-20.

The parable of the rich fool shows his priorities were completely wrong. He had enough money to live a pleasant life, but wanted more. His philosophy of life was self-indulgent greed. His favorite person was himself. He had no regard for others, nor even God. This rich fool was not the only one in the New Testament who lacked time priorities. Similar examples are the ten bridesmaids (Matthew 25:1-13), the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), and the tower of Siloam (Luke 13:4). We do not know when Jesus will return (Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32-37) or when life may unpredictably end for us. What are your priorities in life? Do they concern making God’s kingdom present on earth?
