Bob Casady

Lead Pastor
Bob Casady became the Lead Pastor of Schweitzer in 2000. Bob and his wife Susan have three adult children: Daniel, Jonathan and Alexandra, a son-in-law Jason and a grandson Oren Jason Cutler. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Methodist University and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. Bob authored the book Practicing Prayer, a six-week guide to prayer for individuals and congregations in 2014.

In addition to being a pastor, Bob enjoys time with the family, reading books on various topics, walking in the woods, traveling, playing golf & card games and rooting on the St. Louis Cardinals. Engaging with God on regular prayer retreats helps to keep him spiritually centered.

Bob’s desire for Schweitzer is that God will continue to be at work among us as we transform lives by sharing and being the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Bob’s hope for Schweitzer is for us to grow in our impact of people’s lives by living and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

What grown-up job did you want to have when you were a child?
I wanted to play centerfield for the St. Louis Cardinals. (Jon Jay is better at it than me).

If you could have a meal with someone from history who would it be?
Abraham Lincoln.

What is the furthest west you have traveled?
Alaska. I would like to go visit there again, preferably in the summer!

What would you like prayers for?
Pray that I prioritize my life in putting my relationship with Christ first, my family second and third my role as pastor. Being a good follower of Jesus makes for a better husband/father makes for a better pastor.
