All of us have unique interactions with God, stories of God showing up in our lives. In these 52 Stories, people connected to Schweitzer share how God is present and transforming in their lives. In watching, may you be inspired in Hope, encouraged in Faith, and active in sharing your story of God’s presence in your life.

Help fill our shelves by bringing in food items or making a monetary donation. Our food pantry serves  families in southern Missouri. All donations go for Schweitzer’s Food Pantry only. Please pick up a list/envelope as you leave worship today.

Food List

Our high school students have an amazing opportunity to put their faith into action in Denver, CO this summer! We have begun a new relationship with Group Mission Trips, which strongly believes in providing opportunities for teenagers to encounter Jesus through serving others. Our partnership offers our students a seamless experience with meals, worship, church-based small groups, plenty of serve opportunities in Denver and fun evening activities. If you’re interested in this trip, please sign up quick as this week of community impact will fill up fast.

5:00 p.m., Youth Room

Schweitzer Young Adults are taking over the Youth Room on Super Bowl Sunday (February 2) at 5:00 p.m.! Come enjoy the game on the big screen, play ping pong, or just hang out and eat. Bring a side dish or snack to share!

Room 102/104

Ladies, join us on Sundays at 11:00 AM in Room 102/104, you can be a part of something new and different. It’s not a group or class, but a supportive community for women to encounter Christ through Scripture, Support from others, and Silence to hear from God.

Childcare and dinner for children available.

You love your children, but if you are like most parents, you don’t always love their behavior. Learn to stop policing and pleading and become the parent you want to be. Jinny Datema, from Springfield Public Schools will be presenting a workshop on Conscious Parenting. Jinny is an experienced trainer and will share strategies to help with difficult moments and staying focused on the behavior you want from your children. Recently, there have been two car break-ins during our Sunday morning services. We are taking steps to increase security in our parking lots. We also need your help. Be sure and lock your vehicle and remove all valuable items. If you see any suspicious activity, please notify the police officer or a member of our security team. Security team members wear red lanyards, and you will see them walking around campus or near the Fellowship Area.

INPUT TEAM (Data Team) – Input Connection Card data from worship services.  If you are comfortable with spreadsheets and basic data, this is your place! More info here.

MOBILE GREETING/SECURITY TEAM – Cruise the parking lot in our golf cart. You will provide greetings, rides to those who choose, and constant security in our expansive parking lot. More info here.

CONNECTION CENTER –  Provide a warm welcome to new guests and answer questions at the Connection Center. More info here.

FAMILY WELCOME TEAM – Make families and children feel welcome and excited about worship by greeting them as they check in on Sunday mornings. This would be a great opportunity for entire families to participate. More info here.

GREEN TEAM – Adopt a landscaped garden on our church grounds. You and your team would be responsible for weeding, trimming, and providing a good first impression. More info here.

WORSHIP SLIDES OPERATOR – Assist the in making sure all graphics and worship lyrics are displayed for the service. This position requires someone who is quick on his or her feet and not afraid of computers. We will offer training on the software. More info here.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION – Join our Volunteer Appreciation team as we work on creative ways to say “thank you” to our volunteers and teams. More info here.
