A Last Blast Recap

In Events, News by Jenn Brown

From pastor’s being tossed into the dunk tank (numerous times), to the sound of laughter echoing, the smell of fresh grilled hotdogs, the taste of cotton candy, ice cream and more; Schweitzer’s Last Blast of Summer outdoor event was a highlight for all ages.

At one point, we counted at least 350 people, but in the heat, many people were coming and going and trying to find shade – making a real count tricky!

What we do know is that families had a LOT of fun! And our volunteers were rockstars as they grilled up over 500 hotdogs, gave away hundreds of schools supplies, and custom-made 200 tie-dye t-shirts.

This was the first year for this summer event that marks the time of year when kids head back to school and move up into new classes at the Grow to Know Preschool, in Schweitzer Kids and their own schools.

What a way to start!! View more photos of this fantastic event! You might even find a photo of yourself or someone you know!
