Music Groups at Schweitzer

Traditional Music Groups

These groups are just one of the ways for adults to share their love of Jesus through music in the worship services and in the community. We welcome you to join us!

Chancel Choir

Want to be more involved in worship? Chancel Choir offers an opportunity to give glory to God through music. The Choir is open to anyone high school age or older, regardless of musical ability.  On Wednesday nights, we rehearse from 6:30 to 7:45 to prepare music for traditional worship and special occasions. In addition to rehearsing music, the choir has social events throughout the year, and we hold each other up in prayer. You are invited to be a part of this dynamic group.

senior saints choir

Senior Saints Choir is the place to be on Tuesday afternoons for those who enjoy making music and sharing the love of God through music in the community.  The choir is made up of singers 50 years old and older. As we prepare music for worship services and programs outside of church we also lift each other up in prayer.  Rehearsals are on Tuesday afternoons, 1:00-2:00. Fellowship is encouraged with monthly celebrations after rehearsal. We welcome you to join the fun we have in Senior Saints Choir.

schweitzer bells

An exciting and unique way to experience God’s glory through music is by playing handbells.  Schweitzer Bells offers this opportunity.  This music group is open to anyone high school age or older; no experience is necessary, but music reading skills are preferred.  Bells rehearse on Tuesday nights, 6:30- 7:30, from August through May, and add to the beauty of our worship services by playing for Sunday worship during these months.

Modern Worship Groups

It's one big team with multiple areas to serve

Modern Worship Team

This is the Sunday morning team. Rehearsals are Thursday nights from 7:15 - 9:00 in the Sanctuary, with a Sunday morning schedule of 8:15am - 12:00pm starting in the Outreach Center. We work together, not just to build great music, but to cultivate a great spirit of worship and worship leadership. We have a lot of fun together and keep things relaxed and informal while working together to bring our best to every worship service.

Youth Worship Team

This is a great way for 7th-12th grade students to hone their musical skills while learning about the heart of worship leading. We practice Wednesdays at 5:00pm, and lessons are available if your student wants to learn how to play an instrument! The only requirements to join are a willing heart and a thriving relationship with God.
