Hello brothers and sisters,
This week I would love to tell you about the wonderful work of restoration that is taking place in the outreach ministries at Schweitzer. We currently have nine life change plan participants being mentored through our one-year discipleship ministry, with two more due to come in next month.
I often get questions about coach house and how it is doing. I’m so very thrilled to report that it is going wonderful. It happens to be one of my favorite ministries that I get to be a part of. We already had one girl move out this year successfully into her own home and Coach house has constantly been full with three residents.
I tell you all this because the ministry of restoration is alive and well. Doing life with individuals that have been on the edge of society for so long is extremely hard but it is also extremely rewarding to get to see the transformation that has taken place.
Two girls will be graduating from the life change program at the end of this month they have become some of my best friends and I am so excited to see where life will take them. One is thriving as a full-time mom with her own home and a job that she has had for more than 2 years. The other will be starting truck driving school at the end of the month. I’m so excited to see her paving the way for other women to have a place in a male dominant career.
Please continue to pray for these ministries as the work of restoration is not complete but we live into the hope that God restores all things and makes them new.
