Here is Will Cologna to tell you more about Bob’s Retirement Dinner and other transition events.

Come for the pie…stay for the hospitality

We thank God for the REMARKABLE event we experienced last month at the Every Time Every Person event. Now it’s time to take our next step in creating excellent hospitality.

Come enjoy pie with Pastor Bob this evening, Tuesday, April 23, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Outreach Center. Pastor Bob will lead us in a fun time that inspires and teaches us to REALLY welcome the guest & each other every time.

A time to thank you for sowing seeds of kindness and celebrate Caring Hearts Ministry

As a valued servant in our Caring Hearts Ministries, YOU ARE INVITED to a “Garden Party,” a special opportunity to celebrate with fellow “gardeners.” Join other servants caring for others–dress casual, light refreshments, door prizes too! Be inspired, appreciated, and have fun! This Friday, April 27, 2:00-3:30PM, in the Outreach Center.

Pray for the future of Schweitzer

Linda Harper will be leading us in a time of prayer for the upcoming transition at Schweitzer at noon on Wednesdays, beginning tomorrow, April 24 through May 29. We will pray specifically for Pastor Spencer and family, Pastor Bob and Susan, First United Methodist Church in Kearney, and Schweitzer Church. We invite you to join us for in the Garden Chapel, or if you can’t make it, we encourage you to pray with us at that time. All participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

Alpha is a place to bring your friends, family, and colleagues to explore Faith, ask questions, and share points of view.

Do you have faith questions, or know someone who does? Would you like a safe place to ask those questions and discuss openly in a small group? Alpha will be doing a summer session! Open House Kick-Off for more information will be Sunday, May 19 from 9:40 to 11:00 a.m. in the Outreach Building Conference Room.

Is Schweitzer where you want to live out your discipleship?

When you’ve found Schweitzer is the place where you can live out your discipleship, come participate in our Exploring Membership Class. This one-session class will let you explore more deeply our core beliefs, values, and membership covenant. Take the next step and join us in Memorial Hall on Sunday, May 5, 12:00-1:30 PM. Food and childcare are provided.

SATO48 is a 48-hour short-film competition hosted in Springfield, Missouri—SATO stands for “Springfield and the Ozarks.” Each year, teams are given an “inspiration package” that contains certain criteria which must be included in each film, and each film must be made entirely within the 48 hours. Schweitzer Creative had two teams compete this year and we invite you to go the Moxie to watch their films and vote for them! Look for **Group B** and **Group G.** Tickets are available online. Last year, Schweitzer Creative won the Fan Favorite Award (based on votes) and Best Sound Design.
