Do you have an encouraging Bible verse that you are leaning on right now? We would love to have you share that in a short video for us to show during our online pre-service time on Sunday mornings. Please email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All of us have unique interactions with God, stories of God showing up in our lives. In these 52 Stories, people connected to Schweitzer share how God is present and transforming in their lives. In watching, may you be inspired in Hope, encouraged in Faith, and active in sharing your story of God’s presence in your life.
“If He has taken care of me up to this point, I don’t need to be afraid of the future because He is going to be there for me.”
DEVOTIONS FROM SCHWEITZER STAFF
PASTOR JASON LEININGER
LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY
Prayer is so simple even a child can do it, yet so profound and mysterious that we can spend our lives exploring its depths. Brad Reed, a retired UMC Pastor, invites you to join an eight-week journey through the Lord’s Prayer using a video series featuring Pete Greig. This virtual study is appropriate for beginners and for those experienced in prayer, beginning Thursday, April 30, 2:00-3:00pm, and Sunday, May 3, 6:00-7:00pm.
JONAH WITH JASON
“There is the God we want, and the God there is… they are not often the same.”
In four short weeks, this brief excursion of reading, Jonah with Jason, we will utilize a small guidebook, “Jonah, Running Alongside God,” composed by a team of Schweitzer writers in 2015. Pastor Jason will lead the discussion from 12:00-12:40pm on Tuesdays, starting May 5.
AN ACCIDENTAL METHODIST (CLASS)
How did we get here? Much like John Wesley (founder of Methodism), Bob and Jim didn’t begin as Methodists. We began to follow Jesus and here is where God led us. God formed our faith, what is it made of? In our 6-week online journey together on Wednesdays, starting May 13, 7:00-8:00pm, we’ll explore Wesley’s story and ours. The book, John Wesley: Holiness of Heart & Life will serve as a source.
PARENT LIKE A PRO (CLASS)
