Give a Book, Plant a Dream, Grow a Life

The Library at the Greene County Jail is in need of good books. Hardback and softback books in good-to-medium condition are welcome. Classical fiction is highly desired. Theology and devotional reading abounds in the library and is less desirable. You can drop off books in the Landing area, across from the Kids Connection Desk, and in the Outreach Center from Sunday, February 17, through Sunday, February 24. Thanks for giving a book, planting a dream, and growing a life.

Attention 9th-12th graders!

We are excited to give all Schweitzer youth (and any friends) in High School an opportunity to unplug from the chaos of their lives and take them on a weekend retreat to Discovery Ministries in Eminence, Missouri. The staff at Discovery Ministries will introduce our students to adventure while guiding them toward Jesus! The retreat will be on Friday, March 1–Sunday, March 3. We will leave at 5:00 PM on Friday and return on Sunday afternoon. The cost of the retreat is $40.00 per student which includes all meals, lodging, and activities for the weekend. Please sign your student by Sunday, February 17.

Creating excellent guest experiences…
reflecting God’s love!

God calls people to the Schweitzer campus every day of the week. It’s a privilege and awesome responsibility to welcome guests the way God desires. What does that look like? How are we doing? You’re invited to experience excellent hospitality and become a servant who delivers the same experience with others, especially guests, on Saturday, March 23, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. (Lunch included.) Jason Young, author of The Come Back Effect, will be the teacher/coach for this event. Books available soon. Childcare will be provided with advance notice.
