Young Adults

“It’s about hearing God”

A Spiritual Life Retreat for adults, ages 18-40, will be held August 3-5 at  Discovery Ministries in Eminence, MO! The focus for the weekend will be hearing God, and our time together will be filled with worship, teaching, group breakouts, and fellowship. The main event on Saturday will be orienteering, where groups will work together to find their way out of the woods, using nothing but a map and compass. Contact Jake Hotchkiss (jhotchkiss@sumc.co) with questions.

This Sunday, July 15, Pastor Jake will be offering an introduction to “bands,” one of our two small group models at Schweitzer, for anyone who is interested in learning more about this opportunity to grow deeper in their discipleship. This gathering will be held in Memorial Hall from 12:15 to 1:30 PM. Food (City Butcher Barbecue) and childcare will be provided. Please contact Jake at jhotchkiss@sumc.co by this Thursday if you plan on attending, indicating whether or not you will need childcare.
