We’re grateful for you who give generously.  We appreciate all who have completed their 2019 Commitment Cards which helps us in our ministry plans for next year. All are asked to return their cards during the next week in worship, personally to the church office, in the mail, or on the website Be.sumc.co. Be Part of This!

Ministry Spotlight

Jobs for Life has come to an end for 2018. God has once again given us another great year of success! We had three sessions with 20 total graduates. Of those 20, 10 now have full-time jobs. Five students from our last session are still in Phase One at Victory Mission and cannot have a job, but they graduate to Phase Two this month and will then be expected to seek full-time employment. A full-time student from Evangel completed the course during our last session just so that he is confidently able to recommend it as he speaks to people through his street ministry. What an amazing thing to do…complete a Jobs for Life course for 8 weeks just to help others find their way!  God ended up having two plans, because this same student said he personally learned so many lifelong skills.  God is so awesome! The next Jobs for Life session will begin Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
