Last Thursday evening, Schweitzer hosted the Victory Mission Restoration Graduation in our Outreach Center. Five men have completed all three phases within the program, and they each shared their amazing stories on how God restored and changed their lives. We would like to especially recognize one of our own members, Doug Sanders, who was one of those five men. We are so proud of you, Doug, and give God glory and praise for bringing you to Schweitzer. Thank you for all you do!
For the Love of Music
Schweitzer will host Mid-America Singers in concert on Sunday, October 27 at 3:00 pm. Mid-America Singers have a 52 year tradition of presenting outstanding choral music in our community. Make plans to hear this free concert titled “For the Love of Music.”
Lead and teach God’s children
Children thrive because of leaders and teachers who rise to the challenge to instill the Word of God within them, by demonstrating His Word and teachings in fun and exciting ways. You are needed, and Schweitzer Kids need you! Consider serving on a Sunday or Wednesday, once a month. For more information, contact Nina, [email protected]
or Dillon, [email protected].

It’s simple, fast, safe, and flexible. We’re aiming to make your kids check-in experience at Schweitzer the best one yet!
Making a Great First Impression!
We’ve all done it. We’ve made decisions about a restaurant or coffee house within the first few minutes of walking in the door. It works the same in ministry. Ten minutes…That’s how long it takes someone to decide if they will return to Schweitzer or not. Read more here.
We invite you to make a great First Impression on behalf of Jesus Christ and join one of our First Impressions teams. We’re currently looking for people with the right gifts to serve in the following ways:
- NEW! Green Team – Beautify our church campus by keeping our gardens weed free.
- Ushers – We currently have openings for ushers at the 11:00 a.m. sanctuary service.
- Mobile Greeting Team – Welcome people to our campus while driving a golf cart!
- Sanctuary Set-up Team – Work behind the scenes to prepare our sanctuary for Sunday.
For more information, contact Sheila Pippin, Director of First Impressions, at 881-6800, ext. 230, [email protected], or 417-861-0861.
