What can stand in the way of my being baptized?

Want to be baptized? If you have not ever been baptized and would like to be, we are offering baptism by sprinkling or immersion in our worship services this Sunday, September 16. You are encouraged to contact a pastor prior to Sunday by calling 881-6800. Those who are baptized will be followed up.

Faith Questions

Begins tomorrow at 6:30 p.m.!

Ever had that moment when you wanted to give a clear answer of your faith to a friend or relative and you felt inadequate?

This class, following the fall sermon series and led by Pastor Jason, will help you have clear answers to some of faith’s persistent questions. It is open to all. It will be helpful for parents who encounter tough conversations to respond with hope, faith, and confidence.

The questions we will cover include:

  • How do we know what God is like?
  • Why is the Bible the book for me?
  • Where did we go wrong?
  • Is Jesus really the only way?
  • Are Heaven and Hell Real?
  • What does a transformed life look like?
  • Do I need the Church?

Sept. 12–Oct. 24, 6:30–8:00 p.m.
Room 204/206

Be Prepared for the Unexpected

Personal safety and protection are important to all of us! Be prepared in case you are involved in a dangerous situation and learn how to proactively handle the threat of an intruder. Join us on Monday, September 24, at 6:30 in Memorial Hall. Grant Dorrell, retired Police Lieutenant, and Bryan Disylvester, retired Police Sergeant, both with Intus Security Consulting, will present information on how to recognize potential signs of danger, and how to react if you are involved in a situation with an intruder.

A 7-week Biblical Engagement of 7 Core Practices of the Early Church

Beginning September 30, we will follow the example of the early church and meet in homes every week for seven weeks. Together we will use a resource called “Being the Church” where we will live out seven core practices that we see in Acts 2. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, they ate together, they prayed together, and the list goes on.

Groups will meet on different days and at different locations. Sign up at, or speak to a helper this Sunday outside the main sanctuary about being in a group. Contact [email protected] with questions.
